Preparation

1
To make the dough, in a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, yogurt, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

2
Mix well and knead into a soft dough. You may need to add a little water if the dough is too dry.

3
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1-2 hours.

4
To make the kheema stuffing, heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

5
Add the chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.

6
Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.

7
Add the minced meat and cook until it turns brown.

8
Add the red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.

9
Cook for a few minutes until the spices are well incorporated. Remove from heat and let it cool.

10
Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

11
Take one portion of dough and roll it into a small circle using a rolling pin.

12
Place a spoonful of kheema stuffing in the center of the circle.

13
Seal the edges and roll the dough again into a larger circle, taking care not to let the stuffing come out.

14
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled naan on the tawa.

15
Cook on one side until it starts to puff up and brown spots appear.

16
Flip the naan and cook on the other side until it puffs up and gets golden brown spots.

17
Brush the cooked naan with melted butter.

18
Repeat the process for the remaining dough and stuffing to make more naans.

19
Serve the Kheema Naan hot with your favorite curry or raita.
