Tandoori Roti is a popular Indian bread made from whole wheat flour.

Preparation

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, salt, and ghee.

2. Gradually add water and knead the dough until it becomes soft and pliable.

3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

4. Preheat the tandoor or oven to a high temperature (around 300-350 degrees Celsius). If using an oven, preheat it to the highest temperature.

5. Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls.

6. Roll each ball into a round shape with the help of a rolling pin, dusting with flour to prevent sticking.

7. Place the rolled roti on a hot tandoor or in the preheated oven.

8. Cook until the roti puffs up and starts to brown spots on both sides. Flip it over using tongs to cook the other side.

9. Remove from the tandoor or oven and brush with ghee.
