Preparation

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.

Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.

Add ginger-garlic paste and green chili. Cook for 1 minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add cubed potatoes and fresh green chickpeas. Stir to coat them with the masala.

Cover the pan and cook on medium heat until potatoes and chickpeas are tender, stirring occasionally.

Once the vegetables are cooked, sprinkle garam masala and mix gently.
