Preparation

Peel the bananas and cut them into halves or thin strips.

In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, rice flour, sugar (optional), salt, turmeric powder, and water. Mix well to make a smooth batter.

Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai over medium heat.

Dip each banana piece into the batter, making sure it is well coated.

Gently drop the coated banana pieces into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy. Flip them occasionally to ensure even frying.

Remove the fried pazham pori from the oil using a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
