Preparation

Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the sliced onions and cook until golden brown.

Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for a minute.

Add crushed black peppercorns and cumin seeds. Cook for 2 minutes.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Add the chicken pieces and curry leaves. Mix well to coat the chicken with the spices.

Cover the pan and cook for about 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, stirring occasionally.

Remove the lid and cook for another 5 minutes or until the chicken is slightly browned and the sauce thickens.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
