Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, melted butter, yogurt, and milk. Mix well to form a soft dough.

Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.

Divide the dough into 4 equal-sized portions. Roll each portion into a round shape, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

Heat a skillet or tawa over medium heat. Place a rolled naan on the skillet and cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface.

Flip the naan and cook for another minute. Brush the cooked side with melted butter and sprinkle grated cheese, nigella seeds, and chopped coriander leaves if desired.

Flip again and cook until the cheese melts and the naan turns golden brown.

Remove the naan from the skillet and brush with more melted butter. Repeat the process for the remaining portions of dough.

Serve hot with your favorite curry or as a standalone snack.
