Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, minced garlic, ghee or oil, and salt.

Gradually add water and knead to form a smooth and soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.

Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.

Take a dough ball and roll it into a round paratha, approximately 6-7 inches in diameter, using a rolling pin and some flour for dusting.

Place the rolled paratha on the heated tawa and cook until small bubbles start appearing on the surface.

Flip the paratha and spread some ghee or oil on top. Cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides.

Remove from the tawa and repeat the process for the remaining dough portions.

Serve the garlic parathas hot with your favorite curry or raita.
