Preparation

1
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt for the dough. Mix well.

2
Add yogurt and mix again. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.

3
In the meantime, prepare the vegetable stuffing. Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.

4
Add grated cauliflower, carrots, and green peas. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.

5
Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the stuffing cool down.

6
After 30 minutes, divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll out each ball into a small circle.

7
Place a spoonful of the vegetable stuffing in the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges of the circle over the stuffing to seal it completely.

8
Gently roll out the stuffed dough ball into a slightly thick naan.

9
Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the naan on the hot tawa and cook on both sides until golden brown spots appear.

10
Apply ghee or butter on the cooked naan and serve hot with your favorite curry or raita.
