Preparation

1
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, yogurt, baking powder, salt, and minced garlic cloves. Mix well to form a soft dough.

2
2. Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

3
3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

4
4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape them into balls.

5
5. Preheat a tawa or non-stick pan over medium heat.

6
6. Take one dough ball and flatten it using your hands or a rolling pin, forming a circle with a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

7
7. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped coriander leaves on one half of the flattened dough.

8
8. Fold the other half of the dough over the cheese filling, sealing the edges.

9
9. Roll the stuffed dough gently to form a naan.

10
10. Place the naan on the preheated tawa and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until it becomes golden brown and gets some charred spots.

11
11. Brush the cooked naan with melted butter.

12
12. Repeat the process with the remaining dough balls and cheese filling.

13
13. Serve the garlic cheese naan hot with your favorite curry or as a snack.
