Preparation

1
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, ajwain (carom seeds), salt, and 2 teaspoons of ghee.

2
2. Slowly add water and knead the mixture into a soft dough. The dough should not be too sticky.

3
3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

4
4. Divide the dough into 8 equal-sized portions and roll each portion into a ball.

5
5. Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.

6
6. Take one dough ball and roll it into a small circle. Brush it with ghee and fold it into half.

7
7. Brush it with ghee and fold it again into a quarter circle, forming a triangle.

8
8. Roll the triangle gently into a paratha, ensuring it doesn't break.

9
9. Place the rolled paratha on the preheated tawa and cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side.

10
10. Repeat the process for the remaining dough balls.

11
11. Serve the hot ajwain parathas with yogurt, pickle, or any side dish of your choice.
