Preparation

In a mixing bowl, add milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking powder. Mix well.

Add melted ghee and mix to form a crumbly texture.

Gradually add milk and knead the mixture into a soft dough.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

In a deep pan, add sugar and water. Bring it to a boil to make sugar syrup.

Add rose water and saffron strands to the sugar syrup. Keep it warm.

Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into smooth balls.

Heat oil in a deep pan for frying.

Fry the dough balls on low heat until they turn golden brown.

Remove the fried balls using a slotted spoon and transfer them directly into the warm sugar syrup.

Let the gulab jamuns soak in the syrup for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Serve the gulab jamuns warm or at room temperature.
