Missi roti is a popular Indian bread made with a combination of wheat flour and chickpea flour.

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine wheat flour, chickpea flour, chopped onion, green chili, fresh coriander leaves, carom seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.

Gradually add water to the mixture and knead it into a soft dough.

Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls and roll each ball into a round roti using a rolling pin.

Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat and place the rolled roti on it.

Cook the roti on one side until small bubbles start to appear and then flip it to the other side.

Apply ghee or oil on both sides of the roti and cook until golden brown spots appear.

Remove the roti from the tawa and repeat the process with the remaining dough balls.

Serve hot missi roti with your favorite curry or yogurt.
