Preparation

Heat oil in a kadai or a deep pan.

Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add chopped ginger, garlic, and green chillies. Sauté for a minute.

Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.

Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add chicken pieces and stir well to coat the chicken with the masala.

Cover and cook on medium heat until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Add capsicum strips and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.

Finally, add fresh lemon juice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot with roti, naan, or steamed rice.
