Preparation

1
In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled paneer, mashed potato, chopped onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cornflour, chopped cilantro, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth mixture.

2
Shape the mixture into small round balls (koftas).

3
Heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry the paneer koftas until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

4
In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and add tomato puree. Cook for 5 minutes.

5
In a blender, grind soaked cashews with a little water to form a smooth paste.

6
Add the cashew paste to the tomato puree and mix well.

7
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, crushed kasuri methi, salt, and water. Mix well.

8
Simmer the gravy on low heat for 10-15 minutes.

9
Add heavy cream to the gravy and mix well.

10
Gently place the paneer koftas into the gravy and cook for another 5 minutes.

11
Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro.

12
Serve hot with naan or rice.
