Preparation

Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Let them splutter.

Add curry leaves, chopped onions, crushed ginger, and garlic. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.

Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Cook until tomatoes become soft and mushy.

Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Mix well.

Add the fish pieces and gently stir to coat them with the spice mixture.

Pour in the coconut milk and tamarind paste mixture. Add salt to taste. Mix everything together.

Cover the pan and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
